Interact for Your Success
The Rotary Club of LaPlace congratulates Tellhiyah Huey, an
East St. John High School Senior and Interact Club Member, on
being selected by the RCOL Scholarship Committee to receive the
Interact for Your Success Scholarship. ESJHS Interact Club Sponsor
Yevette Scioneaux, Telliyah Huey and Past President Gordon Taylor
are in the picture. The Rotary District 6840 Grant Committee funded
$750.00 with a district grant from the Rotary Foundation. The Rotary
Club of LaPlace funded $250.00 for a total of $1,000.00. Telliyah
was selected to receive the scholarship from four applicants based on
her "Service Above Self" in her senior year in the ESJHS Interact Club,
Community, Church, and School. She will attend Southern University
in Baton Rouge in the 2022 Fall Semester and major in Business
Administration. Thank you to the Rotary District 6840 Grant Committee
and the Rotary Club of LaPlace for the funding!
